Beaujolai Escape

My nephew Dave is celebrating his fifth birthday this weekend and I want to give him a special gift. Dave is really close to me since I lived with my sister for five years and watched him grow during those years. During weekends, I would always play with him and take care of him.

I am getting him a power wheels toy car that he can drive around their backyard. He just loves watching car themed shows on TV and his favorite toys are match boxes or mini toy cars that are replicas of real car models. I am pretty sure that he will be very happy to finally be able to drive a toy car.

A few weeks before my wife is expected to deliver our very first baby, my sister sent me a video as a present. It was a slideshow of my wife’s pregnant pictures. The slideshow also includes a scan copy of her 3D ultrasound and pictures of the pregnancy test kit that showed us a positive result. This present was very heart warming and almost made us cry.

We hope that my wife will have a normal delivery and that our baby comes out healthy. All her stuff is ready and we are looking forward in welcoming her in this world.

Even we don’t know it or maybe we are too humble to admit it, there’s an artist that lies inside all of us. One medium that we unconsciously use for being artistic is our home. With our homes, we experiment with some colors, decorations and the arrangement of furniture. Sometimes we also put different pieces together like using matching glass mosaic tile, furniture, curtains and the right wall color. This is a simple form of art that we unconsciously do from time to time.

So the next time that you are fixing or arranging your home, be proud and keep in mind that what you are doing is an art.
